Submitting a request DOES NOT guarantee your event reservation will be confirmed. You will receive an email within one week of your submission stating your reservation request is approved. If your reservation request is denied for any reason, you will be notified.
If approved, a refundable deposit is required to secure your date. We will send confirmation that the payment has been received and your date is reserved.

The event rental fee is due at least 30 days prior to your event.
Table and/or chair setup and breakdown are included in your rental, provided a setup map is submitted at least two weeks prior to the event. The setup map may be emailed to HighlandsCommunityClub@gmail.com.

All facility rentals include tables and chairs, which will be set up and broken down by our Building Attendants before and after your event, if requested. Upon arrival, tables and chairs may be rearranged as needed.
If you are renting your own tables and/or chairs, our staff will not be able to set them up or break them down for you. You are responsible for setting up and breaking down your rented equipment. Any damage to the floor caused by furniture, whether provided by us or rented by you, will result in the renter being held responsible.
For catering that requires on-site cooking or special accommodation, please consult with the Rental Coordinator to confirm what is permitted. Food trucks may park on Fernside Street, on the same side of the street as the building. Please ensure that sidewalk access remains clear for the public. Additionally, ensure that all event vendors and setup crews are aware of our decoration rules and rental policies.
Alcohol use is permitted for reservations. It must be indicated in the contract. All events serving alcohol are required to submit proof of liability insurance.
If selling alcohol, you must apply for the State of California's Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) license.
For events with over 100 people and serving alcohol, security is required. A copy of the security company’s Business License must be provided at least 2 weeks prior to your event. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your event and the forfeit of your deposit. For 150-200 people, 2 security guards are required. Guards must be present at the “Event Start Time” of the party and remain until the scheduled “Event End Time” on the contract.
The renter is responsible for collecting and removing all garbage from the premises, including trash from the kitchen, the main hall, and the back of the building, and any outdoor areas.
A $400 refundable deposit is required to secure your date. The event rental coordinator will provide the current rental rates upon receipt of your email or interest form.
Please inform DJs, event setup crews, bands, and all other vendors that nails, hooks, and tape (other than painter’s tape) are NOT allowed on the walls or floor. There are no exceptions. The renter is responsible for any damages caused by vendors, guests, family, friends, or any other individuals present during the rental period and will be liable for any associated repair or replacement costs.
